Coffee Memories 咖啡記憶
A coffee journal that feels like a collection cabinet, not a spreadsheet.
Snap a photo, write one line, and keep a bean, a cup or a moment. Share it, and coffee becomes a memory you have in common.
How it started
CM began with an overflowing freezer. I'd been a coffee lover for years when, in May 2026, a pile of beans arrived as gifts from abroad and suddenly there was nowhere to put them. I wanted a simple way to label the frozen bags.
Building it, I found the real problem was information. Beans from friends and shops rarely come with their origin, process or roast date written down. So CM shares beans as QR bean cards that carry their data with them. It helps most when traveling: a language barrier no longer means a missed conversation about coffee.
Bean bags are part of coffee's charm, but they're hard to keep. The print fades, they take up space, and brew notes live only in your head. So every bean in CM keeps its bag, in 3D. And with no room at home for a display shelf, CM has a coffee corner instead.
What's in it today
- Bean cellar: grid and list views of every bean you have
- 3D bags: each bean as an illustrated bag, with your own bag art
- Coffee corner: a display shelf for your favorite beans and gear
- Brew log and recipes: quick entries, step-by-step recipes, or improvise on the spot
- Origin map, sorting sessions, backups and shareable bean cards
Next: a personal coffee guidebook, built from your own memories and experience. The prototype has been tested on iPhone and is now being brought into CM.
CM is an offline web app. Add it to your home screen, and your data stays on your phone.
Built AI-native, with Claude
I'm a solo founder with no engineering background. CM is built with Claude: separate Claude sessions plan, build, design and independently review every change, coordinated through written engineering specs. Since May 2026: 149 deployed builds and about 70 specs.
Where it's going
Coffee lovers, cafés, roasters and producers don't share a common language. CM's bean card is the first step.
- Coffee lovers collect and share, and CM comes to the App Store and Google Play.
- Specialty cafés issue bean cards that customers scan straight onto their CM shelf.
- Roasters and producers use the same card, so a bean's story travels from farm to cup.
In development: photo-to-data logging with the Claude API. Snap a bag label, get a complete bean card.
